The recipient of a PhD in education from Kent State University, Dr. Todd Rickel draws upon experience gained over nearly two decades in the education and business consulting spheres. An accomplished distance-learning administrator, Dr. Todd Rickel has held leadership positions with institutions such as the University of Phoenix and Herzing University, where he consistently generated enrollment and revenue growth while developing new programs and improving student satisfaction rates.

Throughout his career, Dr. Todd Rickel has driven technological innovation in the learning sector. As the vice president of the distance education group for White Hat Management, he guided academics and management operations for nine separate distance education businesses. Among others, he spearheaded operations for Ohio Distance and Electronic Learning Academy, an online learning platform which provides complete K-12 education for more than 4,000 students.

Currently, Dr. Rickel leads as the managing member of Akron, Ohio-based Rickel Education Group, LLC, a consulting firm that specializes in the technology and education sectors. The firm offers guidance in areas such as online learning platform rollouts, regulatory assistance, faculty development, and international/nontraditional student recruitment.
